a recent reading of Leon's Dictionary in NY beautifully directed by Shellen Lubin
Jerry Matz,  David Smilow, Jane Ives, Ariana Fekett & Django Palty.

Leon's Dictionary was a semi-finalist for the O’Neill Playwright’s Conference, for the Ashland New Play Festival, Icefield’s Creek New Play Festival and the Princess Grace and Julie Harris Playwright Award Competition.

In post-Communist Ukraine, a Jewish family struggles to emigrate to a new life. But as they try to maneuver through the insane rules of a changing, collapsing country, they discover that much of the struggle lies within their own walls. Leon’s Dictionary is a play about a universal desire, set in a world few in the West are familiar with; a riveting examination of the emotional toll on five members of the Kaminski/Minkovski family.
